Eyelash lift and lamination

Eyelash lift and lamination

Many women are not fully satisfied with their natural eyelashes, especially those who want an intense, highlighted appearance. The natural eyelashes often grow too light, too thin, and not curled enough, instead of being full of volume and lifted. While mascara can help to some extent, it won’t change the natural features of the eyelashes. There is, however, a treatment that can change those features, such as eyelash lift and lamination - a non-invasive and simple cosmetic procedure that can vastly improve the appearance of even the thinnest and shortest eyelashes.

What is eyelash lift?

Lash lamination and lift are two easy and effective cosmetic treatments, usually done in succession. Eyelash lifting makes use of active substances that reinforce the natural eyelashes of your client, keeping their eyelashes fixed in the desired position for weeks to come. After the treatment, the eyelashes are left visibly lengthened and appear thicker. Moreover, the substances used increase the durability of the natural lashes, giving them a healthy look and protecting them from damage.

Eyelash lift is especially recommended for women with straight eyelashes without lift. It can also be an effective treatment if your eyelashes are thin, sparse, and hard to shape using a curler or simple mascara. During the treatment, the eyelashes are held in the desired position using a silicone pad and treated with a special substance that can hold the eyelashes in place.

What is eyelash lamination?

After the eyelash lifting treatment is done, stylists usually immediately proceed to eyelash lamination, which prolongs the effects of lifting. During lamination, a keratin-rich conditioner is applied to the eyelashes. The conditioner contains a multitude of nutrients which help the eyelashes remain strong and thick, including grain protein, soy, and - of course - keratin. The conditioner immediately improves the outside condition of the eyelashes, but it also repairs them from the inside.

After lamination, the natural eyelashes are left moisturized and reinvigorated. The conditioner enhances the structure of the eyelashes, protecting them from damage and helping keep up the curl left after the lifting treatment. It also makes the lashes thicker, visibly increasing their volume. What’s more, eyelash lamination further increases lift and makes the eyelashes’ colour much more vibrant.

How to choose an eyelash lift and lamination kit?

One of the easiest ways to quickly get into eyelash lift and lamination is to get a professional kit, which contains everything you need to provide the treatment to your clients. Noble Lashes offers a number of high-quality lift and lamination products for use in professional cosmetic salons. One of the most popular kits, frequently chosen by stylists around Europe, is the Fall in the Volume set.

Using the Fall in the Volume set, an experienced stylist can provide lasting results. The effects of such a treatment can stay visible for as long as 6 weeks. Inside of the Fall in the Volume kit, you will find everything required to provide an eyelash lift and lamination treatment. The set contains two types of setting cream (Cream #1 and Cream #2), as well as a Coating, Pure Essence, Fixing Gel, Keratin Boost, and silicon pads of various sizes. All of the products should be used together to achieve the best results, only by professional and certified stylists.

Eyelash maintenance after treatment

After the treatment is over, your client will be able to enjoy gorgeous and healthy eyelashes for up to six weeks, and four weeks on average. The actual longevity will depend on many factors, such as the condition of your client’s natural eyelashes, the quality of the products you use, as well as your experience and skills as a stylist. One of the benefits of eyelash lift and lamination is that your clients can still use full makeup and mascara without damaging the effects.

Removing the makeup can also be done using the same cosmetics as with regular eyelashes. Unless your client is using something that should not be used for cleaning the eyelashes, they should be safe. However, you should instruct your clients not to rub their eyes or expose them to water or steam, at least for the first couple of days after the treatment. To make it a bit easier, you can recommend your clients to wear special underwater goggles to protect the eyelashes during showers.

Contraindications

Although eyelash lift and lamination is safe and non-invasive, there are still a couple of contraindications which you need to know. These are mostly eye infections and related diseases, such as stye, conjunctivitis, and allergies. Before planning the treatment, always recommend your clients to visit a doctor or a cosmetologist to make sure they are in good condition.
