Eyebrow reconstruction - building and sculpting

24th Jun 2021

Almost every woman dreams of thick and glamorous eyebrows - apart from those women, who already have them! Instead of using tons of cosmetics, makeup, and contouring your eyebrows every day - try eyebrow reconstruction. Recently, eyebrow reconstruction treatment has become increasingly popular, as women from all around the world want to painlessly improve their eyebrows without having to put in much work.

Brow reconstruction - an elegant and painless alternative to microblading

While makeup and contouring can vastly improve the eyebrows to a certain extent, they require a lot of work to do so. Every day, makeup needs to be reapplied, only to be washed down in the evening. However, makeup will not always work with thin and extremely bright eyebrows, requiring something more to deal with them.

Microblading is a popular cosmetic treatment which many women decide on that can also improve the appearance of the eyebrows. However, microblading is an invasive procedure which not everyone can receive. Permanent makeup maintains its effects for up to two years, which is also a no-go for many clients who are afraid of such treatments.

How does eyebrow reconstruction proceed?

Most often, eyebrow reconstruction is split into two methods - building and sculpting. The stylist chooses one or the other, depending on the client’s needs. The two methods can also be used together to complement the other’s effects, creating glamorous effects for clients with especially damaged eyebrows.

The first method is called “building”. Building is a treatment during which artificial hair is attached to the natural eyebrows of the client, similarly to eyelash extensions. This process makes the eyebrows much thicker, increasing their volume and leaving their natural beauty intact. Using this technique, the stylist can target specific areas of the eyebrows which require more hair, effectively sculpting them and improving the eyebrow arch.

The second method is named “sculpting”. This method makes use of a special structural paste that is applied to the skin of the eyebrows. After the application, this paste can remain on the skin for up to four weeks, effectively shaping the eyebrows and giving them an enticing look. This method of application is especially recommended for women with poorly-highlighted edges of the eyebrow arch.

If the effects of building are not enough for your client, sculpting is a perfect addition to the first method. Using a thin wire and a special paste, the stylist adds tiny hairs to the eyebrow. The effects of the two methods combined effectively increase the volume, similar to what an eyebrow pencil does, but much more natural-looking and believable. Moreover, the effects don’t have to be reapplied every day and can last for a couple of weeks.

Eyebrow reconstruction - for what kinds of clients?

Eyebrow reconstruction can be recommended to a wide variety of clients who struggle with their eyebrows. Whether your client’s eyebrows are damaged or are naturally in poor condition, brow reconstruction will easily improve them. It is also a great alternative for more invasive methods of eyebrow improvement, which many women cannot afford to get due to health contraindications

While microblading is very popular among clients, not everyone can enjoy permanent makeup. For example, pregnant women and women who breastfeed cannot get microblading, along with a number of others with more or less serious medical conditions. Since microblading is a highly invasive treatment, it requires your client to be in perfect condition.

Eyebrow reconstruction is also great at fixing permanent eyebrow damage, caused by prolonged stress, medication, or other reasons. Clients during chemotherapy can also receive eyebrow reconstruction to help them get back to everyday life.
