Eyebrow henna

Henna is one of the most popular substances used to dye hair and skin around the world. Henna comes from natural sources, making it a safe and effective dye to use. Henna has been used for centuries by various civilizations and has even found uses in modern cosmetology. Tinting hair with henna provides immediate results, gently darkening the hair and giving them a gorgeous, attractive shape and colour.
Henna - a safe way to dye eyebrows
Henna brow tint is one of the simplest cosmetic treatments, provided at most cosmetic salons. While it is recommended to visit an experienced, professional stylist for brow tinting, eyebrow henna can also be done at home with some practice. All you need is the appropriate henna product. At Noble Lashes, you can find a variety of henna products, available in a wide range of colours and forms.
One of the most popular and easiest to use is powder henna. Powder henna needs to be mixed with a tiny bit of hydrogen peroxide before use to activate the dye. However, gel henna and cream henna is also available and can be applied directly to the eyebrows, and even the eyelashes.
Eyebrow tinting made easy
Before you begin the eyebrow henna treatment, you should always check if your client isn’t allergic to any of the ingredients of the dye. Do a simple patch test by applying a drop of the henna dye to your client’s skin and observe it for 24 hours. If the skin does not get irritated and red after 24 hours, your client should not have a reaction to the dye after the treatment.
Thoroughly cleanse the area around the eyebrows of your client, as well as the rest of the face. Use an oil-free makeup remover to remove your client’s makeup. If you are also going to tint the eyelashes, make sure to use a professional eyelash cleaner to gently cleanse them of any flaked epidermis and oily substances.
Before you begin, it is always worth it to secure the area around the eyebrows using an oily cream or vaseline. While most henna dyes available on the market have been designed specifically for hair and do not tint the skin, these extra steps will not take much time and can ensure desirable effects.
If you’re using powder henna, now is the time to mix the ingredients together. Apply the ready-made henna or your pre-made mixture to the eyebrows using a cotton bud or a similar accessory, whichever is the most comfortable to you. Make sure you don’t spread the henna on the skin outside of the eyebrows to not tint it. After the henna is applied, leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on the desired effects. Remember not to leave the henna for too long, as the longer it stays on, the more visible the effects will be. Leaving henna for too long can also make the final colour too dark.
After enough time has passed for the dye to work, remove it gently using a cotton pad and warm water. The eyebrows can be further contoured and shaped to your client’s desire to better fit with the new colour. The effects of eyebrow henna treatment can stay visible for around two weeks, depending on your client’s skin and the product you use. If you are thinking of applying henna to your own eyebrows but do not have the necessary experience - we fully recommend visiting a professional stylist who knows what they’re doing.
How to ensure good results during tinting?
One of the most important deciding factors when it comes to the quality of tinting is the quality of used products - the same goes for any other cosmetic treatment. To provide your clients with gorgeous tinted eyebrows and eyelashes, you will need a high-quality dye that can apply its effects for a long time, satisfying your clients’ desires. At Noble Lashes, you can find a variety of henna dyes for both eyelashes and eyebrows, in both gel and powder form. We feature a wide range of colours to choose from, and some of the dyes can be even mixed together to create new, unique combinations of colours.
If you want to jumpstart your salon and get quickly into eyebrow and eyelash tinting, we recommend getting a professional eyelash and eyebrow tinting kit which includes all of the necessary supplies for tinting, including the henna, tools, accessories, and more.
The benefits of henna tinting
One of the best things about eyelash and eyebrow tinting is that your clients won’t have to wear any mascara or contour their eyebrows every day to stay looking gorgeous. Many women are sick of having to apply makeup over and over again every morning, and then having to wash it down before going to sleep. Tinted eyebrows and eyelashes make makeup and mascara obsolete, as they maintain a gorgeous look with little to no maintenance. Both the eyelashes and eyebrows become full of colour and glamour after tinting. What’s more, while many treatments such as extensions require your clients to remain cautious with their lashes and keep them away from steam, moisture, and water, tinted eyebrows and eyelashes can be easily worn to a swimming pool or sauna without consequences.
